Student clubs form a vital part of the educational and social life of Academy students. They are designed to provide opportunities for students to pursue new interests, acquire new hobbies, attain new skills, reinforce learned material, and live new experiences. The clubs are formed according to the needs and interests of the students.

The community service program is designed to help Academy students develop a sense of civic responsibility and global citizenship by reinforcing their natural desire to serve the various communities of which they are a part: the school community, the Armenian community, and the community at large. The service work is part of the matriculation requirements at the Academy. Each student is expected to provide a minimum of 10 hours of school service a year (juniors and seniors are encouraged to tutor or work as teaching assistants for the lowerclassmen; lower classmen can assist with school events and campus care) and a minimum of 10 hours of service to the community (Armenian community organizations, newspapers, agencies, and retirement centers, as well as similar institutions in the community at large.)
